Capoeira advanced course, autumn 2018
Capoeira is a Brazilian amalgamation of martial arts, dance and a physical game. Capoeira is a multidimensional sport and it is played in rhythm of Afro-Brazilian music. Features of Afro-Brazilian popular culture, the performing art of dance, full contact battle, contact improvisation and acrobatics can be seen in it. We practice capoeira at the Pasila community center (Topparikuja 2, Helsinki) twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6pm to 8pm and on Saturday at the Narri stage from 12pm to 2pm. In our trainings we aim to incorporate multitude of different facets of capoeira, ranging from movement to music and different aspects of Afro-Brazilian culture.
Tuesdays 18-20 (until the beginners' classes begin)
Location: Tuesday and Thursday trainings are at Pasila community center (Topparikuja 2, Helsinki). Saturday trainings are at Narri stage, Youth Center Happi, 3rd floor. (Sörnäisten rantatie 31) .
